Born in the USA, to a British father, and raised Down Under, [and thus he has three passports,] Jasper is just off both Ricky Stanicky, and Sleeping Dogs, with BBC's The Tourist not far behind. Thor: Ragnarok, Pacific Rim: Uprising and Blacklight closely precede.
In 2017, Jasper was pinned for a lead in the 'Starz' series Counterpart opposite J.K. Simmons. In 2015 he played the role of sword-fighting master spy, 'Campbell' in the International spy-thriller, Joker Game opposite Kazuya Kamenashi and Kyôko Fukada. 'Joker Game' went on to attain number one on the Japanese Box Office and Blue Ray sales.
Jasper has extensive movie and television series regular, and featured lead guest roles, and is known for his standout characters, such as the elusive 'Two-Stroke' in Matchbox's The Straits, and his hilarious 'D'arcy the Dandy' in Jonathan M. Shiff's Pirate Islands. Other guest star roles include major appearances on such iconic series as: Bed of Roses, Winners & Losers, Blue Heelers, Neighbours, City Homicide, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Stingers, Round the Twist and Thunderstone.
Jasper graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1990. Previously, in 1984, his first on-set gig was with James Coburn, and since then he has had the opportunity to work beside such luminaries as Russell Crowe, Zac Efron, John Cena, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Ioan Gruffudd, Jamie Dornan, John Boyega, Geoffrey Rush, Heath Ledger, Guy Pearce, Rachel Griffiths, James Nesbitt and Brian Cox.
In his capacity as mentor to many professional actors, Jasper daily directs international self-tests, as well as working one on one, in person or virtually, in order to enhance their approach to themselves in any given role.
Playing Oberon at the Caulfield Festival in 1983 was Jasper's first paying gig. Later, in 1987, he played Russell Crowe's buddy, Muzz, on Neighbours. He then graduated from WAAPA in 1990 and has gone on to work in theatre, film and television ever since.
Sword fighting, martial arts, modern dance, horseriding and cricket, Jasper has a kitbag full of surprises. Accents galore, characters at beck and call, Jasper is, quite literally, Master of the Moment. and having a ball..
Oh my golly galoshes - where do I begin?! From Merlin the Magician in grade 3, 1973, to electrocuting and then cutting Thor's hair in Ragnarok, until Stan Lee!!
